Frisco has a strange advantage in the meetings business: the city built a Cowboys headquarters, an MLS stadium, a ballpark and a 660-acre golf resort inside eight miles of each other, and every one of them rents rooms. You can hold a board meeting at the table where Jerry Jones runs the NFL Draft, then move 100 people to a ballroom two exits up the Dallas North Tollway.

The best corporate event venues Frisco TX has to offer split into three tiers: convention-scale ballrooms at the Embassy Suites and Omni PGA Frisco, sports venues at The Star and Toyota Stadium that trade square footage for memorability, and mid-size hotel and country club rooms for 20 to 250 guests. Frisco holds roughly 440,000 square feet of flexible meeting space citywide.

This guide is for the person who signs the contract. It sits under our wider guide to Frisco TX wedding venues and special event spaces, but the calculus for a sales kickoff is nothing like the calculus for a reception, so we’ve kept the two separate. Below you’ll find verified capacities where the venue publishes them, honest notes on where each room falls down, and the logistics that quietly wreck otherwise fine events.

The convention-scale rooms

Embassy Suites Dallas Frisco Hotel & Convention Center

This is the workhorse, and nothing else in Frisco is close on raw scale. The hotel at 7600 John Q. Hammons Drive is attached to the Frisco Conference Center, which carries a 41,760-square-foot pillarless ballroom. Total event space runs to roughly 68,669 square feet across 31 meeting rooms, and the property markets over 90,000 square feet of meeting space in total including pre-function areas. The Frisco Grand Ballroom seats 2,170 for a banquet, holds 3,200 for a reception and takes 3,712 theater-style.

The word doing the work there is pillarless. If you’re hanging trussing or laying out an exhibit floor, a column in the wrong place costs more than the venue’s day rate. Frisco has exactly one room at this scale without them.

Backing it up: 330 suites in the attached hotel, a 16,014-square-foot pre-function area for registration, and breakouts running from the 13,140-square-foot Frisco 6 down to the 322-square-foot King Cotton Boardroom.

The honest drawback is age. This is a John Q. Hammons-era convention hotel, not a design property, and it looks it in places. If the event is about impressing customers rather than moving them through sessions, spend more elsewhere. If it’s 700 people, four tracks and a trade floor, book it and stop shopping.

Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa

The Omni PGA Frisco carries roughly 127,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space at 4341 PGA Parkway, including about 43,074 square feet outdoors. The grand ballroom runs around 22,000 square feet and takes 2,225 for a reception or 1,250 for a seated dinner. There’s also a 5,000-square-foot pavilion with an adjoining patio and event lawn, which is the sweet spot for a 200-person welcome reception that wants to spill outside.

What you’re really buying is the campus. Two Gil Hanse and Beau Welling championship courses, a lighted par-3 short course, a two-acre putting green, a full spa, four pools and a dining district mean attendees never need a car after check-in. For an incentive trip, that containment is worth real money. Our guide to the wider PGA Frisco campus covers what’s out there.

The catch is cost and calendar. This is the most expensive meeting real estate in the city, group rates track leisure demand, and big golf dates crowd out the spring and autumn windows most planners want. If your CFO is watching the per-attendee number, this is not your room. If your board is flying in from three countries, it might be the only one.

Hyatt Regency Frisco – Dallas

At 2615 Preston Road, attached to Stonebriar Centre, the Hyatt Regency runs 14 event venues and about 27,500 square feet of meeting space. The Regency Ballroom is 12,300 square feet and divides into as many as five rooms of 2,100 to 4,200 square feet, holding up to 1,000 for a reception. The Juniper Ballroom adds 3,900 square feet that splits into three 1,300-square-foot breakouts. Trinity, at 1,550 square feet with floor-to-ceiling windows, is the best natural-light breakout in the building.

Hyatt also runs small workhouse boardrooms named for North Texas counties — Denton, Grayson, Collin, Tarrant — sized for 10 to 15 with modular tables. The right call for a working session where the group keeps splitting and re-forming.

The mall attachment is genuinely useful. Attendees with a free afternoon walk straight into Stonebriar Centre instead of asking you to arrange something. Downside: your event shares a parking structure with mall traffic on a December Saturday. Plan the load-in accordingly.

The sports venues, which is why people book Frisco

Any city can rent you a ballroom. Frisco can rent you an NFL practice field. Our overview of Frisco TX sports venues covers these buildings from a fan’s perspective; here’s how they work as event space.

The Star — Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters

A 400,000-square-foot campus at 1 Cowboys Way with 15 bookable spaces for groups of 10 to 12,000:

  • Ford Center Field — 98,000 square feet indoors, 150 to 12,000 guests. The 31-foot by 57-foot Starvision board and running ribbon boards can carry your deck, which is a better general-session screen than anything you’d rent.
  • Grand Atrium — 3,502 square feet, 50 to 200 guests. Italian marble, the Super Bowl trophies, 70-foot glass walls over the practice fields, and Leo Villarreal’s 19,200-LED ceiling piece Volume. The single best reception room in Frisco, full stop.
  • Training Table — 4,700 square feet, 75 to 400. Where the players actually eat. Mixed banquet and lounge seating with patio access.
  • South Concourse — 6,376 square feet, 75 to 200, with 30-foot glass on one side and the indoor practice field on the other.
  • Auditorium — 1,711 square feet, 154 theater seats, full AV. The default for a company-wide meeting or new-hire orientation.
  • War Room — 1,076 square feet, 10 to 20 at a football-shaped table with 90-inch interactive screens. This is the draft room.
  • Tostitos Championship Plaza — 29,000 square feet outdoors, 75 to 500. Company picnics and team-building, weather permitting.
  • Lucchese Lounge (2,500 sq ft, 20–100), Hospitality Lounge (1,800 sq ft, 20–100) and the Optum Suites (2,000 sq ft, 15–50) fill the gaps between.

My honest take: book the War Room for a leadership offsite even though 17 seats around a novelty table is objectively a worse meeting shape than a plain hotel boardroom. People talk about it for years, and that is a legitimate value proposition. Above 200, though, the Ford Center is a stadium bowl and it will eat your energy unless you build the room with staging and drape.

Attendees will want to see the rest of the campus, and you should let them — our complete guide to The Star in Frisco covers the tours and the Ring of Honor Walk. Sleeping rooms are next door; see where to stay near The Star for the walkable options.

Toyota Stadium and the National Soccer Hall of Fame

FC Dallas rents out more than eight private spaces at Toyota Stadium, with total meeting space around 52,280 square feet. The named clubs: the Hall of Fame Club at 10,750 square feet, the Winner’s Club at 6,500 square feet for up to 275 guests, the Heineken Red Star Club at 3,800 square feet for 250, and the Gallagher Club with floor-to-ceiling glass. The attached National Soccer Hall of Fame adds over 23,000 square feet and takes groups of 10 to 1,000.

The Hall of Fame is the differentiator. Turning a cocktail hour loose inside a museum gives people something to do besides stand in a circle holding a drink, which is the perpetual failure mode of corporate receptions. Match nights are obviously blocked, and there’s a stadium redevelopment underway, so confirm space and timelines directly. Our Toyota Stadium and FC Dallas guide has the layout.

Riders Field and Comerica Center

Riders Field, home of the Frisco RoughRiders, seats 10,216 and rents unique spaces for holiday parties, company picnics, meetings and conventions, handling groups from about 20 up to 10,000. Comerica Center seats up to 6,000 and hosts corporate conventions and conferences alongside its sports calendar.

Riders Field is the value play for a summer employee event. Buy out a section, add a catering package, let people watch a game. It costs a fraction of a ballroom night and satisfaction scores come back higher, which tells you something about corporate events generally. See our Riders Field and RoughRiders guide for game-day logistics.

Mid-size rooms for 20 to 250 people

Most corporate events in Frisco are not conferences. They’re a two-day regional meeting, a quarterly leadership session, a customer dinner. This is the tier where the choices get interesting.

Executive boardroom meeting space at a Frisco Texas corporate venue

Stonebriar Country Club

Stonebriar’s indoor rooms and outdoor terraces run from intimate spaces for 20 up to a Grand Ballroom that takes 240 for heavy hors d’oeuvres or 200 for a plated meal. The Clarendon Room handles 125 for hors d’oeuvres or 100 plated. Membership is not required to book — non-members host private events there regularly, which surprises people who assume country clubs are closed shops.

What makes Stonebriar work for corporate is the pairing: morning meeting, afternoon golf, evening dinner, all on one property with no transport. If you’re planning a client golf day, this is the most straightforward version of it in Frisco. Book six to twelve months out for anything large or near the holidays. Our guide to golf in Frisco TX covers the courses in more depth.

The Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa

The Westin carries more than 30,000 square feet of event space — over 24,000 indoors and around 11,000 outdoors. The Legacy Ballroom, with 16-foot ceilings and integrated AV, handles roughly 640 guests. Golf and a spa are on site.

Think of it as the Omni PGA Frisco’s less expensive cousin. You get the resort structure — meet, play, eat, sleep, repeat — at a materially lower per-head number, and the drive time from DFW is similar. You give up the golf pedigree and the newness. For a 150-person sales offsite where the golf is a nice-to-have rather than the point, that trade is usually correct. It also appears in our roundup of luxury hotels in Frisco TX.

Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star

Separate property from the PGA resort, despite the shared brand. The Omni Frisco at The Star runs about 24,000 square feet of meeting space, anchored by the 12,971-square-foot Star Ballroom, which divides to hold up to 1,440 guests. The Star Foyer adds 4,960 square feet for receptions up to 300. The Edge, with pool and city views, takes 264 banquet or 375 reception. The Commissioner Boardroom is 729 square feet for 14.

The Edge is the reason to book here. An outdoor reception on a pool deck overlooking The Star campus at dusk beats any indoor room at this price point, and it’s a short walk from Ford Center if you’re splitting the program. Texas weather is the risk; have the indoor backup contractually locked, not verbally promised.

Small rooms, boardrooms and day space

For groups under 50 there are more options than hotel sales teams mention. Formation at The Star, the Cowboys’ collaborative workspace at 5 Cowboys Way, rents The Forum (800 sq ft, up to 40), The Library (1,600 sq ft, up to 100) and the Lobby Bar (1,500 sq ft, up to 75). Event Center Frisco on Coit Road offers around 10,500 square feet indoors and out. Coworking operators rent conference rooms by the hour, typically from around $40 (2026 — confirm current rates), the cheapest legitimate way to run a client meeting in town.

The trap with hourly coworking space is catering. Most operators either forbid outside food or have no loading access, and you will discover this the morning of. Ask before you book.

Matching the venue to the meeting

Square footage tells you what fits, not what works. Here’s how I’d assign these rooms.

Board meetings and executive offsites

The War Room at The Star, the Hyatt’s county boardrooms, or the Commissioner Boardroom at Omni Frisco. Ten to twenty people need a table, good screens, controllable light and a door that closes. Anything bigger and the room swallows the conversation. Skip the ballroom-with-a-hollow-square setup that hotels will push you toward; it’s a bad meeting shape and it costs more.

Sales kickoffs and all-hands

The Cowboys Auditorium for up to 154, the Hyatt’s Juniper Ballroom for up to 300, Embassy Suites Frisco 6 for larger. You need fixed sightlines, decent acoustics and a breakout within thirty seconds’ walk. Theater seating in a flat ballroom is the default and it’s mediocre — rows five and back stop paying attention. Pay for risers above 120 people.

Client dinners and awards nights

The Grand Atrium at The Star for 200 or fewer, Stonebriar Country Club’s Grand Ballroom, or a private dining room at one of the resort restaurants. Awards nights fail on length, not venue. Build the room for a 90-minute program and let people move to a bar afterward.

Multi-day conferences and trade shows

Embassy Suites and the Frisco Conference Center, or the Omni PGA Frisco if budget allows. You need a pillarless hall, a pre-function area big enough for registration plus sponsors, breakouts on the same level, and enough sleeping rooms in the building that attendees aren’t driving. Only two properties in Frisco clear all four bars.

Team building and company picnics

Tostitos Championship Plaza at The Star (29,000 sq ft outdoors), Riders Field, or an offsite built around the best things to do in Frisco TX. Frisco is unusually good at this because the attractions sit within fifteen minutes of each other.

The logistics that actually decide whether it works

Guests at an evening networking reception in Frisco Texas

Audiovisual: ask who owns the room

Every venue here offers AV. The Omni PGA Frisco has technicians, videoconferencing and equipment through its conference services department, with certified meeting professionals on site. Hyatt Regency provides light and sound support. At The Star, the Ford Center’s Starvision board and ribbon boards carry your content natively.

Ask early whether the venue has an exclusive in-house AV provider or allows outside vendors. Exclusive arrangements are common in hotel ballrooms and they roughly double what you’d pay a third party for the same rig. Not necessarily wrong, since in-house teams know the room’s power and rigging points, but you need the answer before you build the budget.

Second question: internet. A 400-person session with live polling needs dedicated bandwidth, not guest Wi-Fi, and that’s a line item. Get the number in writing.

Catering and food-and-beverage minimums

Hotel and resort venues here run on F&B minimums: you commit to a spend rather than paying flat room rental. The Omni PGA Frisco offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, reception and break packages through its catering team; The Star provides chef-crafted catering; Stonebriar Country Club builds menus with its executive chef.

Two things planners get wrong. Service charge and tax on top of an F&B minimum can add 25 to 30 percent, and the minimum is usually measured before those, so budget the gross. And breaks are where money leaks — a per-person coffee break at a resort can cost more than a plated lunch at a mid-tier hotel. If the budget is tight, cut a break, not the dinner.

For off-site dinners, Frisco’s restaurant supply is deep enough that you can move a group of 30 without much difficulty. Our list of the best restaurants in Frisco TX is the starting point; most of the larger rooms will do a buyout or a private dining room with a set menu.

Parking, arrival and getting people to Frisco

DFW International is around 30 miles from the PGA Parkway end of Frisco, roughly a 30-minute drive without traffic. Dallas Love Field is about 32 miles and closer to 40 minutes. Neither is walkable to anything, and there is no rail connection into Frisco, so your attendees are renting cars or using rideshare. Build ground transport into the budget or accept that half your group will be late on day one. Our guide to getting to Frisco, Texas covers the airport routes.

Parking at most Frisco venues is surface or garage and generally free or validated, a genuine advantage over downtown Dallas. Resort valet is the exception and carries a nightly charge. At The Star, campus parking is shared with retail and the occasional public event, so ask the sales team what else is on the calendar that day.

Room blocks and hotel supply

Frisco carries over 4,635 hotel rooms and Cvent has named it a top-50 North American meetings destination. Practically, that means you can usually get a block, and shoulder-season rates are negotiable in a way they aren’t in Dallas proper.

Where it tightens: FIFA World Cup 26 activity, major golf dates, big youth sports tournaments and the Dallas Cowboys’ summer calendar all compress availability. For anything in those windows, contract twelve months out. Our overview of hotels in Frisco TX maps the clusters,.

Timing and season

March through May and late September through early November are the good windows, which matters when half of Frisco’s best spaces are patios, plazas and terraces. July and August are brutal — triple digits are routine and any outdoor component becomes a liability. December fills with holiday parties and books early.

The contrarian pick is January and February. Rates drop, venues are hungry, and if your program is entirely indoors the weather is irrelevant. You lose the Tostitos Plaza reception and gain maybe 20 percent on the total.

Building an offsite around the city

The argument for Frisco over a generic suburban conference hotel is that there’s genuinely something to do between sessions. A group can tour The Star in the morning, take a session at the Ford Center, walk to lunch in The Star District, and be at a ballpark by six. Three combinations that work: a half-day meeting plus afternoon tee times at Stonebriar Country Club; a general session in the Cowboys Auditorium followed by the stadium tour, which runs about 90 minutes and beats any icebreaker; or an evening buyout at Riders Field or the National Soccer Hall of Fame.

One thing to avoid: over-programming. Frisco tempts you because everything is fifteen minutes away, and planners respond by scheduling all of it. Attendees at a two-day offsite want one good evening and one free one. Give them the free one.

Frequently asked questions

What is the largest corporate event venue in Frisco, TX?

By ballroom size, the Frisco Conference Center attached to the Embassy Suites Dallas Frisco, with a 41,760-square-foot pillarless ballroom holding 3,200 for a reception. By headcount, Ford Center Field at The Star goes to 12,000 across 98,000 square feet, though that’s a stadium bowl rather than a conference hall.

Can you rent event space at The Star in Frisco if you’re not a Cowboys partner?

Yes. The Star sells its 15 event spaces to outside companies, non-profits and private hosts through its special events team, with groups from 10 to 12,000. No relationship with the Dallas Cowboys organization is required. Pricing varies by space and date, and rooms like the Grand Atrium book well ahead.

How far in advance should I book a corporate venue in Frisco?

Twelve months for anything over 300 people, a December holiday party, or a date competing with major golf or tournament weekends. Six to twelve months for a large country club or resort event. Meetings under 50 people often place inside 60 days, especially January, February, July and August.

Does Frisco have a public convention center?

Not a stand-alone municipal one. The Frisco Conference Center is attached to and operated alongside the Embassy Suites Dallas Frisco Hotel, so it functions as the city’s convention facility but books through the hotel. Everything else at scale is a hotel, resort or sports venue with its own sales team.

Which Frisco venue is best for a small executive board meeting?

The Dallas Cowboys War Room at The Star for the experience — 1,076 square feet, a football-shaped table seating up to 17, and 90-inch interactive screens. For a pure working session, the Hyatt Regency’s workhouse boardrooms for 10 to 15 or the 729-square-foot Commissioner Boardroom at Omni Frisco are more practical and considerably cheaper.

Final thoughts

Frisco isn’t the cheapest meetings market in North Texas and isn’t trying to be. What it sells is proximity: a real convention hall, two golf resorts, an NFL headquarters, an MLS stadium and a ballpark inside a fifteen-minute radius, with mostly free parking and an airport half an hour away.

If your event is large and functional, book the Embassy Suites and Frisco Conference Center. If it’s about impressing people, book The Star and spend the difference on production. If it’s a leadership retreat with a budget, the Omni PGA Frisco earns its rate. And if you’re pricing a social celebration rather than a business meeting, our roundup of the best wedding and celebration venues in Frisco TX covers rooms this guide skips.

One last piece of advice: walk the room before you sign. Photographs flatter every ballroom in America, and the thing that bothers you on the day — a low ceiling, a service door behind the stage, a column where the screen goes — never shows up on a floor plan.
